- 🌅 Specific Connectors are completely redesigned. You can now create a data source with all social media platforms at once (known as the Intelligent Connector) or restrict it to just one platform. If you opt for a restricted data source, you will have all the power of the Intelligent Connector but only access to the specific social network's data. We maintain compatibility with existing reports.

- 🤓 We improve the way ratios are calculated. Facebook Ads "ratio" type fields (such as CTR or ROAS) are now more reliable as they are calculated directly in Looker Studio as formulas after aggregation. To see these changes, you will need to refresh the data source This action may cause some graphs in your report to stop working, and you will need to re-configure them. Looker Studio will recognize the change as new and deleted fields.

- 🗒 The list of fields is grouped to make it easier to choose dimensions and metrics in a chart. You will see how all dimensions and metrics in the Intelligent connector are grouped by their root so that you see together those compatible with each other.

- 🚀 Improved response speed We've added significant improvements. Graphics will now respond 30% to 80% faster.

- 🚨 Introducing Brands Blend Connector(to add multiple brands to your report natively)! Do you manage dozens of Google Business profiles and want to combine all their data into a single report? Do you have social media accounts for each country and want aggregated data for all of them? Have you noticed that Looker Studio limits data blending to no more than 5 data sources? Well, we've solved that with a new data source that combines, natively on our servers, the data from all the brands you choose as if they were one. And we have created a new dimension to easily identify the brands.

💡 The combination of brand information is done on our servers and returned to Looker Studio. In Looker Studio, everything is a single data source, so this "combined source" will allow you to do everything you can with any source: filters, calculated fields, and even combine it with other sources using the Looker Studio function.

- 💥 🧐 🤓 🥳 Introducing the Intelligent Connector!



We want to make reusing your own reports among your clients quick and easy. Kind of like "*copy the report, assign a new data source to the generated copy and you're all set*". To do this, you need a single data source instead of adding different ones for each social network (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and for each type of data (time evolution, posts, etc.).

So we decided to put together all dimensions and metrics from all social networks and all types of data in a single data source. Over 700 fields (and growing) in a single data source, so you have it all at your fingertips when building your reports.

Also, while building it, we've added some control mechanisms, improved the speed and metrics calculation, and converted the image, link, date or duration type fields into the native format for Looker Studio to recognize them as such.

For all this we have decided to call it "Intelligent Connector ". If you want to try it, just go to add a new data source using the Metricool connector, select a brand from the ones you have, and in the network selection, choose "Intelligent Connector". Surprise!

You will see that the field names are formed following the standard Data Group > Dimension or metric . For instance, the Facebook followers for a time evolution: Facebook Evolution > Page followers . And so on with all networks and data types. So that you don't get lost, we have prepared for you a field reference dictionary.

❗️ Important: if you get the error "selected fiels are incompatible," it is because you have chosen dimensions and metrics for that chart that are incompatible with each other. For example, no matter how smart we've made it, we can't tell you how many retweets a Facebook post has had. Here are some basic rules for combining dimensions and metrics.

- Evolution Date is the only dimension of the "Evolution" types that refer to time-evolving data. Since they all share a single dimension, you can combine any Evolution type metric in a single chart.

- All dimensions and metrics associated with the chart (including those used in formulas and filters) have in common what it goes before the ">" symbol

- We have added support for "DELTA" type metrics to all connectors**. DELTA metrics indicate the change from a previous day (e.g. followers gained daily). You can now find these metrics on Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

- We have added YouTube data (evolution and videos) in both the Intelligent connector and its specific connector. Let's get the analytics of the "second search engine" right!

- More from Instagram!** We added data from Instagram Stories and Hashtags. You now have the entire catalog - what a report you're going to get!

- 👩🔧 We have added Stories from LinkedIn. From now on, you can include tables with the metrics of the stories you publish on LinkedIn. Create a new data source, choose LinkedIn as your network, and you will see the Stories option.

- 🕺 We added TikTok Ads. The social network making the most noise right now comes to Metricool. We start with the advertising platform and (ASAP) we will add information about organic growth.

- 🔎 We are adding Facebook Ads at the ad and day level. You can now access Facebook Ads information in a table that goes down to the ad and day level of detail. This level of detail will allow you to view daily information on your ads as well as group by campaign, ad group or extract calculated fields from the ad name. When adding a data source, select Facebook Ads and choose "Detailed" for this level.

- 📍 We added Google My Business. We incorporated the GMB network with data on both property performance and reviews and reviews. Some people call social network, and some people don't, but in either case you have it in Metricool.

We released the first version of our Looker Studio connector that will allow you to use all the information you can see in Metricool from Looker Studio so you can ultra-customize your social media reports.

We have added the most popular social networks and contemplated different types of data (time evolution and post charts as well as demographics), so you can build a complete multi-platform report.

Google has given us their approval and you can already find our connector (search for Metricool) among the list of Looker Studio community partner connectors.
