How to generate Reports

Where to download your reports

With Metricool you can create social media reports in a matter of seconds and automatically. The first thing you have to do is connect your social media accounts to Metricool so that the tool collects your data and displays it in a dashboard. This way you can consult it whenever you want.

To generate your social media report you have to click on the Analytics tab and then click on the Reports section in the left menu.

Set up and download your reports

Keep in mind that Reports compare periods differently from Analytics. Learn more here.

To generate a report, the steps are the following:

  1. Choose the time period, either a full month (drop-down) or a custom range (setting the date on the calendar).
  2. Select the language.
  3. Choose the social media platforms, the data sorting field in the tables, and the maximum number of rows.
  4. Optionally, you can add your logo.
  5. Click the download button for PDF or PPT.

To include the "Summary" section, you have two options:

  • No social media platform selected: a summary will be created for all platforms.
  • Select media platforms: the summary will be generated only for the selected platforms.

In the Advanced and Custom plans, you also have the possibility to use your own report templates. Here you can find more information.

For full report customization, our Looker Studio connector is available.

⚠️ Downloads in PPT format

When downloading the report in PPT format, please note:

  • Thumbnails: in some tools, thumbnails may not display correctly. They appear properly in PowerPoint, LibreOffice, or OpenOffice.
  • Grid background: in certain tools, the background may appear as a grid. To fix it, open the file, right-click on the background, select Format Background, and uncheck the “Tile picture as texture” option on the right panel.

Automatic monthly report

In this section you can set up the automatic email delivery of the report. Once enabled, follow these steps:

  1. Recipient's email: add one or more email addresses that will receive the report.
  2. Send replies to (optional): enter the email address where you want to receive your client’s replies.
  3. Sending day: schedule the day when the report will be sent automatically.
  4. Email text (optional): customize the message that will accompany the report.
  5. **Send a test report now **(optional): test the delivery before activating the schedule.
  6. Save: click save to activate the automatic sending.
