How to manage my plan in Metricool

⚠️ Metricool plans (purchase, modification, or cancellation) can only be managed from the Metricool website, not from the mobile app. The only exception applies to the plan managed through app distribution platforms. You can find more details here.


How to manage my plan


You can easily manage your plan from your Metricool web account: change it, cancel it, or update your billing details.


📌 In this article:


ℹ️​ If you want to make more than one change to your subscription (for example, change your plan and modify your billing cycle), you’ll need to do it in two separate steps.

First, complete one change and once it’s applied, you can make the next one from your account settings.


How to change your plan


You can change your plan by going to Plan and Billing from the top-right menu and clicking Change plan. Select the new plan and confirm the changes.

If you’ve canceled your subscription, click Reactivate plan first to be able to make changes.



💡 To make any change, make sure you have a valid payment method (card or PayPal) added to your account and that you’ve updated your billing details beforehand.


Upgrade to a higher plan


You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. The change takes effect immediately, and the system automatically prorates the unused time from your current plan, deducting it from the price of the new one. The exact amount will be shown at the time of the change.


For annual subscriptions, the billing cycle will also update. For example, if your plan renews from January to January and you upgrade in May, the next renewal will occur in May of the following year.


Downgrade to a lower plan


If you need to downgrade to a lower plan, the process is the same, but in this case, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing period.


How to change your billing cycle


You can modify your subscription payment frequency between monthly and yearly from the Metricool website.


From monthly to annual


You can switch from a monthly subscription to an annual one at any time. The change will be effective immediately, and the system will automatically prorate the unused time of your current monthly plan, deducting it from the price of the new annual plan.

The exact amount will be shown at the time of the change.


đź’ˇ The annual payment includes a discount already applied to the final price.


How to do it:

In the next payment information section, select the Annual option and complete the change process.


From annual to monthly


You can also switch from an annual subscription to a monthly one at any time. In this case, the change will take effect at the end of your current annual subscription.

Until then, you’ll continue enjoying all the features of your paid annual plan, and the new monthly billing cycle will start automatically once the current period ends.


How to do it:

Go to the next payment information section, select the Monthly option, and complete the process.


How to cancel your subscription


You can contact us via online chat or at help@metricool.com for any questions about your current plan or doubts about Metricool.

If you finally decide to end your plan (which we’ll be very sorry to see!), you can click Cancel plan at any time.

Your subscription will remain active until the current period expires. After that, your account will revert to the free version — remember that you’ll lose access to your history and additional brands (the free plan offers one brand).
