I can't connect my LinkedIn account to Metricool
Having trouble connecting your account?
If you're having trouble connecting your LinkedIn account to Metricool, check the key points below depending on the type of account you’re trying to connect.
Company Pages
If you're trying to connect a company page and it doesn't appear in the list, it's very likely that you don't have the required permissions.
Required permissions
To connect a company page, you must have Super Admin permissions, either:
- From your personal LinkedIn profile
- Or via the LinkedIn Business Manager
The Content Admin role is not valid for connecting.
Where to check it?
👉 If you manage the page from your personal profile, you can check your role easily:
Me menu (top right) > click on the company name > Settings > Manage admins
👉 If you manage the page through Business Manager, note that the permission won't be visible from your profile, but it's still valid as long as your user is correctly linked.
To check it, follow these steps:
- Go to the LinkedIn Business Manager.
- Select your Business Manager account.
- In the left-hand menu, click on "Pages".
- You'll see a list of the pages managed by that account.
- Click on the page you want to connect.
- Go to the "People" tab.
- Make sure your profile appears under "Page roles" as a Super Admin.
- Also check that your profile is active (not pending or inactive).
Personal and Content Creator Profiles
To connect personal profiles and profiles with content creator mode enabled on LinkedIn, you must have the account identifiers. By connecting to your LinkedIn account in the same browser as your Metricool account, your profile should be automatically detected.
Permission Renewal
If you have permissions but are unable to connect to Metricool, or if your account disconnects immediately after connection, try to renew your permissions:
- Access the Permitted Services.
- Remove Metricool.
- Reconnect your LinkedIn account from your connections dashboard.
