Connect Threads to Metricool

Connection to Threads



Before you start



To connect your Threads account to Metricool, the account must be linked to an Instagram account. Check the step-by-step guide here.

If you don't have a Threads account yet, check Instagram's help on how to create a profile here .

Add the account



By connecting your Threads account to Metricool, you will be able to schedule and publish content, as well as access analytics. Follow these steps:

Open a new tab and log in to Threads.net
From Metricool, go to the connections dashboard.
Click on "Connect account". A pop-up window will appear (if necessary, complete the cookie policy) click continue with Instagram.
Log in to your Instagram (or Facebook) account and grant access to Metricool by accepting the permissions. (This action does not add your Instagram account to Metricool, it only authorizes Metricool to access the associated Threads account)

Once the permissions are accepted, your Threads account will appear connected.

⚠️ Due to an error in Meta, during the connection process via Instagram, you will be redirected to the Threads website. Complete the process by closing the window and clicking again on connect Threads account, click continue to successfully complete your connection of Threads to Metricool.



Edit and Revoke Permissions


If you decide to revoke the permissions of Threads in Metricool, you can do so here. From the same place, you can also view and edit the granted permissions.



Connection Error



If you have difficulties connecting Threads, the following recommendations are suggested:
Be previously logged into the Threads account you want to connect.
Refresh the page before retrying the connection.
Revoke permissions and retry the connection.
If the connection error persists, try again later.

Please note that the Threads API was recently launched and some instability is common. We hope Meta will take appropriate actions to minimize connection errors and other issues that may arise.
