Products Catalog



Your catalog holds information about the items you want to advertise or sell on Facebook and Instagram. Where possible, it is recommended that you keep all your items in one catalog instead of creating multiple catalogs, since you can create product sets and add information for multiple countries and languages.

Product tags



💡 Keep in mind that Instagram allows tagging a maximum of 5 products per post

To tag products on Instagram, your Instagram account must be connected to Metricool through Facebook (connecting through Instagram does not allow product tagging). Additionally, you must have the appropriate permissions. Check how to manage product tagging permissions here.

In Metricool it is possible to tag Instagram products in posts and reels.

When you add products to your Instagram store they must go through a review process. Only approved products will be tagged in Instagram posts.

From Metricool, products that are not approved will be blocked and it will not be possible to select them to tag, since they would be rejected when posting on Instagram.

How to tag a product



Open the planner and click on create a publication.
Add the image and click on the three dots
Select "tag products on Instagram" in the drop-down menu
Click on the image to place the tag
Select the catalog and click on the magnifying glass or press enter to search for the product.
Select the product and click on save

💡 Remember that the auto publish button must be enabled.
