I can't connect my YouTube channel
Error connecting my YouTube channel
If you're having trouble connecting your YouTube channel to Metricool, the recommendations will depend on the error message you see.
➡️ Channel not found
If you see the message "Channel not found: the connected account doesn't manage any channel", it means the email you're using isn't linked to a YouTube channel.
We recommend double-checking that you're using the right account—here's how to do it.

Check Channel and Account
To check the account (email) and view all the channels, click on the profile and select 'change account.' You can view the email of the account and see all the channels by clicking 'view all channels.'

The account has no channel?
- If you are the owner of the account and no channels are appearing, refer to YouTube's help center on 'Create a YouTube channel'.
- If the channel you want to connect belongs to someone else, you will need to request owner permissions for the channel on your account.
Refer to the article "YouTube channel permissions" for all the details.
➡️ Unknown Error
If you see "Unknown Error" after selecting your channel, try these recommendations:
- Check your permissions
Make sure you have the correct role on your YouTube channel. See "YouTube channel permissions" for details.
- Try incognito mode
Browser cookies or cache can interfere with YouTube authentication.
- Open an incognito or private window (Ctrl+Shift+N on Chrome, Cmd+Shift+N on Safari)
- Go to metricool.com and log in
- Try connecting your YouTube channel again
- Use a different browser or the mobile app
If incognito mode doesn't work:
- Switch to a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Download the Metricool app for iOS or Android and connect from there
- If using the mobile app, switch between WiFi and mobile data
🆘 If none of these recommendations work, please contact our support team via the chat or by emailing us at help@metricool.com.
