🏷️ Adding users as Clients and Teammates

Please note that no modifications made within User Management will apply to your White Label Agency.

There are two ways to add Clients and Teammates to your Metricool account. We have already explained in detail how to do this for the White Label for Agencies feature here. You can access it by navigating to Menu > Whitelabel settings.

The second way is through User Management. This feature is also included in the Advanced plans and is not part of the White Label Agency product. To access it, go to Menu > User Management. We discuss this feature in detail in this article, so feel free to take a look if you'd like to learn more (as it is available in your Custom plan). Users added through this feature are referred to as Collaborators.

📝 Here is the set of key differences between the two:

Clients added from Whitelabel settings belong to your Agency and will not need a Metricool account to access all available features; whereas Clients added from User Management will need a Metricool account to work with you.
Clients added from Whitelabel settings authenticate themselves through the Agency login window (your-agency-name.ext.metricool.com; covered in the first reference); whereas Clients added from User Management will log in via Metricool (app.metricool.com).
Teammates added from Whitelabel settings are automatically assigned to all brands connected to the master Metricool account (the one used for payment); whereas Collaborators added from User Management are manually assigned brand by brand.
Teammates added from Whitelabel settings can only be assigned as Administrators or Managers; whereas Collaborators added from User Management can be assigned to any default or custom role.
Users (Teammates/Clients) added from Whitelabel settings will send customized emails featuring the Agency's branding for posts pending approval; whereas Users added from User Management will show Metricool branding in these emails.
Users added from User Management will appear in the drop-down list when sending a post for approval from the Calendar; whereas users added from Whitelabel settings will not.

ℹ️ Please remember not to mix these features, as none of the White Label settings discussed in previous articles will apply if you invite your users through User Management.

📚 Additional Information

When working in the White Label Agency account, think of Clients and Teammates as entirely separate roles with nothing in common. Following point number 2, Clients will use the Agency subdomain link, logging in only at the Agency portal; Teammates (including yourself), added from the Team window, will use a Metricool account (details explained here) to manage client information and will log in through Metricool.

ℹ️ If you are the owner of the Metricool account, please do not confuse the login windows either. You must always log in from app.metricool.com: the Agency login page is for clients only.
