Community
✅ GROWTH
Totals:
- Followers: Total number of page followers in the selected period.
- Paid followers: Number of followers gained through paid LinkedIn campaigns.
- Impressions: Number of times your LinkedIn page was viewed during the selected period. Includes page impressions and content (posts and newsletters). Only impressions within the date range are counted.
- Total content: Total number of Posts and Newsletters published during the selected period.
Growth & Averages:
- Followers: Net growth of followers during the selected period. Calculated as the difference between the final and starting follower count.
- Daily followers: Average followers per day during the selected period. Calculated by dividing the net follower growth by the number of days.
- Followers per content: Average followers gained per piece of content (posts and newsletters). Net follower growth divided by total content published.
- Daily impressions: Average impressions per day during the period.
- Impressions per content: Average impressions per post or newsletter. Total impressions divided by number of content pieces.
- Content per day: Average number of content items published per day.
✅ FOLLOWER BALANCE
The follower balance tracks all follower movements. If a person follows, unfollows, and follows again on different days, it counts as two followers. Deleted or restricted accounts are included.
This section helps you analyze how your audience reacts to your content, and which days see gains or losses.
- New followers: Gained and lost followers during the selected period.
Account
✅ CONTENT VIEWED IN THE PERIOD
This section shows the overall performance of your content (posts and newsletters) during the selected period, including interactions or impressions from content published earlier if they occurred within the timeframe.
- Impressions: Total number of times your content was shown during the period. May include impressions from older content, if viewed within the range.
- Reactions: Total number of reactions (likes, insightful, etc.) during the period, even if content is older.
- Comments: Total number of comments on your posts during the period.
- Shares: Total number of times your content was shared, regardless of publish date.
- Clicks: Total clicks on your content, even from older posts.
Demographics
Percentage of followers by country, area, industry, and job function. Data can be shown as a chart or table.
⚠️ The demographics section depends on LinkedIn API data. If unavailable, it will not display.

Posts during the period
💡 On Metricool, you'll only see data for posts published during the selected period. LinkedIn shows all data generated during the period, even from older posts.
✅ SUMMARY
- Engagement: Engagement is the number of interactions per 100 or 1,000 impressions, depending on your selected formula. See What is engagement?.
- Interactions: Total interactions on posts published during the selected period. Includes reactions, comments, clicks, and shares.
- Impressions: Total number of views each post received over time, not limited to the selected period.
💡 Impressions are counted when at least 50% of the post is visible for 300 ms, or when clicked—whichever comes first.
- Posts: Total number of posts published during the period.
✅ INTERACTIONS
- Reactions: Total reactions on posts during the period.
- Comments: Total comments on your posts.
- Clicks: Total clicks (links, buttons, images, etc.) on your posts.
- Shares: Total shares during the period.
💡 LinkedIn allows two types of shares: repost with your thoughts and automatic reposts. Only reposts with your thoughts are counted as shares.
- Posts: Total number of posts during the selected period.
Period averages
- Daily reactions: Total reactions ÷ number of days.
- Reactions per post: Total reactions ÷ number of posts.
- Daily comments: Total comments ÷ number of days.
- Comments per post: Total comments ÷ number of posts.
- Daily clicks: Total clicks ÷ number of days.
- Clicks per post: Total clicks ÷ number of posts.
✅ POST LIST
- Date: Date of publication.
- Type: Type of post (Text, Image, Multi-image, Video, Document, Article, Poll, Celebration).
- Reactions: Total reactions on the post.
- Comments: Total comments.
- Clicks: Total clicks.
- Shares: Total shares.
- Impressions: Total post impressions, including outside the selected period.
- Engagement: Interactions per 100 or 1,000 impressions. See What is engagement?.
- Video views: Views of the video (minimum 3 seconds). Looped videos count as one view.
- Viewers: Unique viewers of the video.
- Watch time: Average seconds the video was watched. Increases with each auto-loop.
- Avg. watch time: Average view duration for the video.
Newsletters
✅ SUMMARY
- Engagement: Interactions per 100 or 1,000 impressions (based on selected formula). See What is engagement?.
- Interactions: Total interactions on newsletters (reactions, comments, clicks, shares).
- Impressions: Total newsletter views.
- Newsletters: Total newsletters published in the period.

- Reactions: Total reactions (like, celebrate, insightful...) on newsletters.
- Comments: Total comments.
- Clicks: Total clicks on any interactive element (links, buttons, hashtags...).
- Shares: Total newsletter shares.
- Newsletters: Total newsletters published during the selected period.
