How to share a link to connect networks to a brand without a Metricool account


Want to give your clients easy access? With this feature, connecting their networks to Metricool is as simple as sharing a link.


You can share a link to connect social networks to a brand without needing a Metricool account.

This feature allows your clients or collaborators to link their networks easily, without inviting them directly to the workspace.

This way, you make collaboration with agencies or external teams easier while keeping full control of your brands.


In summary:

  • Your clients can connect networks on their own, without creating a Metricool account.
  • The link is temporary and automatically expires after 71 hours, ensuring security.
  • Available for Advanced and Custom plans.



Make sure the correct brand already exists in your account. In Metricool, each brand represents a business, brand, or customer.

If you are setting up a client for the first time, you can prepare an empty brand and then send the connection link so they can connect their own accounts.



Only users with “Management” permission for the brand can create this link. If you need to review or assign permissions, check the article about user management.



  1. Go to the Connections panel of the brand you want to share.
  2. Click the Share icon and select Create link.
  3. Metricool will generate a unique and temporary link (valid for 71hours).
  4. Click Copy link and share it with the person who needs to connect the networks.
  5. They can open it in their browser and connect the necessary networks.


If you no longer need the link to be active, you can deactivate it at any time.


What your client does next


After receiving the link, your client opens it in their browser and connects the required social networks.

They do not need a Metricool account to complete this step.

This makes the handoff easier when the client only needs to authorize connections, not work inside the brand on a daily basis.


How to confirm the setup is complete


Once the client finishes, return to the brand’s connections area and check that the expected accounts now appear as connected.

A quick review helps you avoid the most common back-and-forth:

  • confirm the client used the link before it expired,
  • confirm the correct networks were connected, and
  • confirm everything was connected in the right brand.

Does my client need a Metricool account?

No. The connection-link flow is specifically designed so clients can connect networks without creating a Metricool account.


Can I send the link again later?

If the link expires or you deactivate it, create a new one from the Connections panel.


Does this give the client access to the whole brand?

No. This flow is for connecting networks. If the client also needs access inside Metricool, share the brand separately through Shared Brands in Metricool.
