Google Business Profile permissions
Google Business Profile Connection
By connecting your GBP location to Metricool you will have access to:
metrics
reply to reviews
plan your content.
Remember that if you have more than one location, you will need to plug each location into a different brand.
If you need reports with information from different locations, you can generate them with the Looker Studio connector (available in Advanced and Custom plans).
Permission types
In Google Business there are two roles:
Owner (additionally there is only one primary Owner)
Manager
A priori, all roles are valid to connect the location to Metricool. However, due to some changes being made to the API by Google, it is possible that for some accounts the Manager role may not be sufficient to make the connection or access all metrics.
To add, remove or edit user access, you will need an Owner. See this article from Google help for more details.
How to verify permissions?
To verify permissions for locations in Google Business Profile Log in to your Google account and follow the steps below:
Access your locations by clicking here and click "View your profile" on the location you want to check.

You can also access from the top menu, in the drop down options, select Business Profile Manager.

Click on the three dots and then select Business Profile Settings.

Then click on People and access to see the list of users and permission level.

No locations are listed?
If you get the message "We have not found any locations related to this account " we recommend the following:
make sure you are signed in with the correct Google email account
if you have a manager role try to connect by requesting an owner role.

How to request access to a profile managed by someone else
Here is how you can request permissions:
Go to the list creation page through this link
From the search engine enter the name of the business.
You should see a drop-down menu with existing listings in the Google database. Select the location of the listing.

Request access
Google will confirm that the listing you want to claim belongs to another email address.
If the email address is yours, log in and you will be able to access the listing. If you have lost the login details for the email address, please refer to the Google account recovery guide.
If the email address is not yours, click the "Request access" button.

Fill in the form
Next, Google will ask you to fill in some personal information, such as your name, your phone number, the level of access you need, and your relationship to the company.
After you click the submit button, the account holder who manages your listing will receive the request and will have three days to grant you access to the profile or reject it.
If you do not receive a response, you may have been granted permission to claim it yourself. Go to the GBP dashboard and look for the option to claim your business.
Google will grant you full access to your new listing seven days after you become the new owner.
