I have connected the web / blog but no data appears
What to check
If you have not yet connected your website to Metricool, here you can see how to do it.
If you have already connected it, but it does not yet collect data, the first thing you should do is checking that our tracking code has been correctly inserted into your website. . In the case of Wordpress.org websites, you must confirm that the code matches the one available in the brand where you want to connect it. Keep in mind that each brand has a different code.
Once verified, if it is properly installed, make a visit to your website from an incognito window and after a few minutes the first data will begin to appear in the tool.
In WordPress, you may need to Clear Your Site’s Cache.
How to check if the code is running?
To check if the code is active, you should access the developer options. Open your website in the browser (Chrome as the recommended option) and follow these steps:
Right-click on the webpage background.
Click on Inspect.
Refresh the page.
Click on the Network tab.
Filter by Metricool.
Our tracker is named c3po.jpg and contains the "hash," which is the unique numbering associated with each tracking code for each brand.

Other browsers
You can also access developer tools in different ways depending on the browser. In Edge (and also in Chrome), the developer tool opens by clicking on the three-dot icon located at the top right of the browser, then selecting "More tools," and finally choosing "Inspect." In Firefox, click on the three-line button at the top right of the browser, then select "Tools," and finally choose "Inspect." In Safari, the developer tool opens by clicking on the gear icon located at the top right of the browser and then selecting "Inspect."
If after doing these steps there is still no data, please contact our support service through the chat available within the tool.
No data in blog posts
When connecting the RSS feed, we display the blog post history based on your RSS feed configuration. That is, our code will be limited to reading the information we obtain.
For example, if your feed is configured to show 10 posts, only those 10 posts will be loaded. On our side, we will set the date of the most recent post, and from that date, new posts will be automatically added to the analytics.
If you need to load more history, you will need to make some adjustments:
Configure the RSS Feed to export more posts.
Disconnect the current RSS Feed and replace it with the new one.
Request in the online chat that an update be performed on the RSS Feed information to obtain data on previous posts that will be exported in this new RSS Feed connection.
If visits are not shown, keep in mind that they are counted from the installation of the tracker. If the visit matches one of the pages we have retrieved from the feed, then we update the counter.
In this tutorial you can see how to integrate Metricool with WordPress, Shopify, Joomla and Wix.
