How to schedule content from the calendar

You can schedule content on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube and Google My Business from Metricool's Calendar.

The post creation process is generally standard, but it's important to pay special attention to Instagram and TikTok:

Individual scheduling

💡 You can change the time zone in the drop down menu next to the current time

Go to Planning (top menu).

Click on Create new post (or click on a time slot within the calendar) and select the social platforms where you want to publish(icons are displayed in color). Moreover, from the calendar you can discover the best time to post based on your audience on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. The darker the colour, the better (note that you need at least 100 followers to see this information).

Text box: This is the space for text and where you can also add links and mentions with the @ symbol. In addition, check How to create and schedule X (Twitter) threads

Add multimedia content: Own images, images from Pexels image bank integrated in Metricool, videos or GIFs, depending on the requirements of each social network. Click on the three dots in the attachment to see the available options. You can also edit images/videos while planning.

Additional options

Global Presets:

URL Shortener: If you want to hide the original URL you can toggle on this option. Note that the URL is shortened once the content is published not before. If you add more than one link, they will all be shortened. Unlike other link shorteners that track interactions with your content, Metricool’s shortener doesn’t track anything, giving you more privacy and control over your posts.
SmartLinks (formerly Link in Bio) : When the post is published, it will be automatically added to the SmartLink that you have previously selected .

Select time and day and finish the publication with the following options:

Schedule: Save and schedule at selected time
Save draft: save and publish at a later time.
Save to the library: store your post in the post library.
Send to review : selects users for content approval (Available in Advanced and Custom plans).
Publish now : Save and publish with current date and time.

💡 Before finalizing , you can preview how the post will display on social media both on desktop and mobile device. Also, if you are scheduling an Instagram post, you can see the feed preview to ensure your post aligns with the rest of the content shared on your feed.

🔁 Once the post is saved, you can duplicate (to make a copy in the current brand) or duplicate to another brand (to copy it to other brands).
🗑️ To delete a post, click the trash bin icon.

By choosing the export option you will also have the possibility of downloading the calendar with your scheduled posts for a further analysis of your content plan.
