How to Create a LinkedIn Post

To schedule a post, head to the Planning tab in the top menu and follow these steps:

  1. Click “+ Create new post”, choose LinkedIn and then Post
  2. Add your text. You can also mention other accounts.
  3. Optional: Upload your media – up to 20 images, videos or GIFs (and add a cover image if you want).
  4. Global settings: enable the URL shortener and choose your SmartLinks.
  5. LinkedIn-specific settings:
  • Show link preview: enable this to show a preview of the last link in your post. Only works with one link and max one image. Otherwise, it’ll post without a preview. More info here.
  • Image carousel: enable this to post a PDF document with your images as a LinkedIn carousel instead of a regular gallery. More info here.
