I can’t log in to the Metricool iOS app
How to log in to the iOS app without Google or Facebook
If you created your Metricool account using Google or Facebook, you might be surprised when you download the iOS app: there are no options to log in with these services. This is expected. The iOS mobile app only allows access using email and password.
But don’t worry — you can still access your account by following a very simple process explained below.
Google and Facebook authentication is only available on the Metricool web version and the Android app. On iOS, logging in is done exclusively with email and password.
Step by step: how to access if you signed up with Google or Facebook
If you signed up for Metricool using Google or Facebook, you need to create a password for your account first, as these services do not share passwords with Metricool.
To log in to the iOS app, you must set a password using the reset process explained below.
Open the Metricool app on your iPhone or iPad
Download the app from the App Store if you haven’t already. The app requires iOS 14 or later.
Request a password reset
Follow these steps to create a new one:
Tap “I forgot my password”
Enter the email address linked to your Google or Facebook account
Tap the button to request the reset
If tapping “Forgot your password?” shows a 404 error or the screen doesn’t load correctly, use the web version to reset your password. Go to app.metricool.com from Safari or your preferred browser and follow the same process there.
Check your inbox
You’ll receive an email from Metricool with a link to create your new password. Keep in mind:
The email will be sent to the address linked to your Google or Facebook account
Check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see it after a few minutes
The link expires, so use it as soon as possible
If the email takes too long to arrive, check your internet connection and make sure you entered your email correctly. You can request another reset if more than 10 minutes have passed.
Create your new password
Clicking the link in the email will open a page where you can set your new password. Make sure it meets these requirements:
Between 8 and 20 characters
At least one uppercase letter
At least one lowercase letter
At least one number
At least one special character (for example: !, @, #, $, *, etc.)
Once you confirm the new password, all active sessions on the Metricool web version will be closed (for security reasons).
Log in to the app with your credentials
Now that your password is set, go back to the iOS app and:
Enter your email address (the same one used with Google or Facebook)
Enter the password you just created
Tap the login button
That’s it! You’ll now have full access to your account from the iOS mobile app.
Once inside, you’ll be able to view your analytics, plan posts, manage messages from the Inbox, and much more — directly from your mobile device.
Common issues and solutions
I don’t receive the reset email
Make sure you’re using the correct email address (the one linked to your Google or Facebook account)
Check your spam or junk folder
Check your internet connection
Wait at least 10 minutes before requesting a new link
The “Forgot your password?” link shows a 404 error in the app
This is a known issue that may happen occasionally. The fastest solution is:
Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad
Go to app.metricool.com
Tap “Forgot your password?” on the web
Complete the reset process there
The app doesn’t accept my password after resetting it
If you’ve recently changed your password and the app doesn’t recognize it, try the following:
Close the app completely (swipe up from the app switcher)
Open it again and try logging in
If the issue persists, try clearing the app cache or reinstalling the app
I forgot my new password
No problem — just repeat the reset process from step 3. You can change your password as many times as needed.
Can I change my password from the app?
Yes. Once you’re logged in, you can change your password at any time from:
Account settings > Access > Password: click on password and enter the new password. The current password will be required to validate the change.
When you change your password, all active sessions on the web version will be closed for security reasons, but you’ll be able to keep using the app without any issues.
