Edit the data source name in Data Studio

Rename a data source from the Data Studio home page or from the data source editor. You need to be the owner of the data source or have Can Edit access to it.
Rename from the home page
Use this method for a quick rename without opening the data source.
Open your data sources
Sign in to Data Studio and click Data Sources at the top of the home page.
Find the Metricool data source
Browse or search the list for the data source you want to rename.
Click Rename
Hover over the data source, open the More options menu (three dots), and click Rename.
Enter the new name
Type the new name and confirm. The data source appears with the new name in your list.
Rename from the data source editor
Use this method if you already have the data source or its report open.
Open the data source
In Data Sources, click the data source to open the editor. If you are working in a report, click Edit next to the data source in the report's data panel instead.
Click the current name
The data source name is in the upper left corner of the editor. Click it to make it editable.
Type the new name
Replace the name with the one you want and press Enter.
