Metricool Refund Policy

How Refunds Work in Metricool

We explain how Metricool’s refund policy works for subscription plans, including the legal withdrawal period, eligibility conditions, and the steps to request it.

To understand how our subscription model works, you can also check the article: SaaS Subscription Model.

If you're experiencing issues with Metricool, contact us before canceling. Our team is available to help you solve any problem and make the most of your subscription. Check all contact options here.

⚠️ The purchase, modification, or cancellation of Metricool plans is managed exclusively from the web version, except for the plan managed through app distribution platforms. You can see more details here.

🧾 Withdrawal right: 15 days only for the first purchase

According to section 19 of our Terms and Conditions, you can exercise your right of withdrawal during the first 15 calendar days after your first purchase of a Metricool paid plan.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to automatic renewals.

What counts as a first purchase and what counts as a renewal?

  • First purchase (eligible for refund):

It is your very first subscription payment. You can request a full refund within the 15-day period.

  • Automatic renewals (not eligible for refund):

Monthly or annual subscriptions renew automatically based on the Terms and Conditions. These renewals are not refundable.

Renewals are processed automatically on the same date of each cycle (monthly or yearly), using your saved payment method.

📝 Note: If you purchase a paid plan again after having had a previous subscription (and it’s not an automatic renewal), that purchase is treated as a new first purchase for withdrawal purposes.

For example, if you used a plan between January and March and buy another one in November, you will again have 15 calendar days to exercise your withdrawal right, as long as it is not an automatic renewal.

📨 How to request a refund within the 15-day period

If you are within the withdrawal period, follow these steps:

  1. Check the date of your first purchase.

You can find it in User Settings → Plan & Billing → Invoices.

  1. Cancel your subscription.

Go to Plan & Billing → Cancel subscription.

  1. Contact support, stating that you want to exercise your right of withdrawal:

In section 19 of the Terms and Conditions, you will find a withdrawal form template you can copy and use.

❌ Canceling plans without a refund

If the withdrawal period has passed or your plan renewed automatically, you can cancel your subscription at any time, but you won’t receive a refund for unused time.

How to cancel your subscription

  1. Log in to Metricool
  2. Go to Plan & Billing
  3. Select Cancel subscription
  4. Confirm the cancellation

After canceling, you can continue using your plan until the end of your current billing cycle. Then, your account will automatically switch to the Free plan.

🔀 Do refunds apply when changing plans?

Refunds do not apply when changing plans, regardless of whether you upgrade or downgrade your subscription.

Upgrade

If you upgrade your plan, you only pay the proportional amount for the remainder of the cycle. The amount already paid is deducted automatically.

Downgrade

If you downgrade your plan, the change will take effect at the end of the current cycle. No refunds are issued for cycles already started.

After the 15-day withdrawal period, annual cycles do not allow partial refunds.

⏱ Refund processing time

Once your withdrawal request is approved, the refund will be processed using the same payment method:

  • PayPal: immediate refund
  • Credit/debit card: between 5 and 10 business days, depending on your bank

A credit note will be generated to void the invoice.

After the refund is applied, your account will automatically switch to the Free plan.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a refund if my plan renewed automatically?

No. The withdrawal right only applies to the first payment. Automatic renewals are not eligible for a refund.

Can I cancel an annual plan halfway through the cycle?

Yes, but there will be no prorated refund. You can continue using the plan until your annual cycle ends.

How do I know if I’m within the 15-day withdrawal period?

Check the date of your first invoice in Plan & Billing → Payment history.

Does the refund also apply to add-ons like the X Add-on?

Yes. The withdrawal right also applies to add-ons during their first purchase, not for renewals.
