The Posts list and the Collaborations list pull from different Instagram API endpoints. The collaborative media endpoint doesn't support the Insights API and only returns a fixed set of counters, while the views counter is a playback count that Instagram populates only for video content.
Why views are missing for Instagram collaborative posts
Updated today
Views can be missing for an Instagram collaborative post because Instagram doesn't share that data for every kind of collaboration. This happens in two cases: the post is a photo or a carousel, or it's a Reel whose creator hid the view count.
Photo and carousel collaborations
Instagram only tracks views for video content. Photo and carousel collaborations never have a views count, so this field is always empty for them — this isn't a sync issue.
Reels with a hidden view count
Whoever publishes a Reel can hide its view count from everyone, including collaborators. When it's hidden, Instagram doesn't share that number, so it shows empty in Metricool while the other metrics — likes, comments, saves, and shares — still display normally.
Both cases come from a restriction Instagram applies at the API level, not from a data gap in Metricool.
Why does the same post show views in my Posts list but not in Collaborations?
