How to approve or reject a scheduled post in Metricool

Have you been assigned to review a post? You can check the content and approve or reject it in just a few clicks, either from your email or within Metricool.

There are three ways to do it:

• From the email notification, without needing to log in to Metricool. This applies if you don't have an account, or if the creator of the content enabled the email notification.

• From the My Tasks section, if you have a Metricool account (any plan works).

• Or via Bulk actions, to manage multiple posts at once and save time.

How to review a post from an email

If you've received an email from Metricool to review a post, you don't need to access the platform — you can manage everything from that same email.

Follow these steps:

1. Open the review email

   Check your inbox. You'll receive an email with the subject: "New post pending review". Inside, click the green button that says: "Review post".

2. View the post

   A preview will open showing all the post details:

   • Post text

   • Image or video (if any)

   • Social network it's scheduled for

   • Scheduled date and time

   Now's the time to check if everything looks good.

3. Choose an action: approve or reject

   At the bottom of the preview, you'll see two buttons:

   • Approve ✅: The post will be marked as approved. If all required reviewers agree, it will be published as scheduled.

   • Reject ❌: The post will be marked as rejected. You can add a note if you wish.

   If you reject a post, it won't be published, even if others approve it.

4. Confirmation

   After clicking, you'll see a confirmation screen with the updated status.

   You're done!

How to review a post from My tasks

If you have a Metricool account, you can also review posts assigned to you directly from the My Tasks section — no email required.

Follow these steps to do it from the platform:

1. Log in to your Metricool account

   Use your usual credentials to access Metricool.

2. Go to the My Tasks section

   Click the menu icon (☰) to open the side panel, then select My Tasks.

3. See your assigned posts

   You'll see a list of all the posts assigned to you. Click on the one you want to review.

4. Review the content

   You'll see a preview of the post: text, image or video, social network, and scheduled date. Check that everything looks right.

5. Choose whether to approve or reject

   At the bottom, you'll find two buttons:

   • Approve ✅: The post will be marked as approved and move to the next status, based on the review criteria.

   • Reject ❌: The post will be marked as rejected. You can leave a note if needed.

   If any reviewer rejects the post, it will not be published.

6. Confirm your action

   You'll see a notification confirming your decision. Once approved or rejected, you don't need to do anything else.

How to review posts in bulk

If you have a Metricool account, you can review multiple posts at once from the planning section.

Here's how:

1. Log in to Metricool and go to Planning > List.

2. Select the posts you want to review.

3. Click on Bulk actions.

4. Choose either Approve ✅ or Reject ❌.

What happens after you review a post

This depends on how many reviewers were assigned and the criteria selected by the creator:

You can see the updated status right after your decision. If there are more reviewers, the post will remain pending until all decisions are made.
