Plans, add-ons, and API access explained
Metricool plans set your brand limits and included features. Add-ons are charged separately from your base plan, upgrades unlock features immediately, and API access is limited to Advanced and Custom.
Plans at a glance
Metricool offers Free, Starter, Advanced, and Custom plans. Brand limits and feature access depend on the plan you choose.
Plan | Brands | Key inclusions |
|---|---|---|
Free | 1 brand | Up to 20 posts per month, 30 days of analytics, AI assistant, Metricool MCP. No LinkedIn or X/Twitter connection. |
Starter | Up to 5 or 10 brands, depending on the option | Unlimited content publishing (subject to fair use), LinkedIn, PDF/PPT reports, unlimited analytics history, Google Drive and Canva integrations, access to the X and Advanced Analytics add-ons. |
Advanced | Up to 15, 25, or 50 brands, depending on the option | Everything in Starter, plus team and client management, role management, post approval, customizable report templates, Looker Studio connector, and Metricool API. |
Custom | Custom number of brands (starting at 50+) | Everything in Advanced, plus white label, dedicated account manager, custom AI assistant credits, and business integration options. |
For the full feature list and current prices, see the Metricool pricing page. To compare Free limits in detail, see Main differences between FREE and PREMIUM plan.
Monthly vs annual billing
You can pay monthly or annually. Annual billing includes a discount already applied to the final price (up to 24% on the pricing page).
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period while the plan is active.
Switching from monthly to annual takes effect immediately. Unused time on the monthly plan is prorated and deducted from the annual price.
Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of the current annual term. Request that change through support (chat or [email protected]).
For step-by-step billing cycle changes, see How to manage my plan in Metricool. For how auto-renewal works, see Subscription Model in SaaS.
When upgrades and downgrades take effect
Upgrades unlock the new plan immediately. Downgrades wait until the current billing period ends.
Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. Unused time on the previous plan is deducted from the new plan price. On an annual plan, the renewal date also updates to a new annual cycle starting from the upgrade month.
Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your current plan until then.
Fewer brands after a downgrade or cancellation: Metricool keeps the oldest brands by creation date. A confirmation screen shows which brands you keep and which you lose access to. To keep different brands, delete the ones you do not need from the Connections panel before you finish the change.
Add-ons are billed separately
Add-ons are optional paid extras on top of a premium plan. You do not need to cancel your subscription to add or remove them.
Add-on | Who can buy it | How it is billed | When changes apply |
|---|---|---|---|
Advanced Analytics | Premium plans (not Free) | Account-level charge for all brands. Starts from 10€/12$ per month on Starter and 30€/36$ per month on Advanced. Follows your main plan billing cycle. | Adding takes effect after payment. Removing takes effect on the next billing cycle. |
X/Twitter | Starter or higher | Separate charge per connected X/Twitter account (currently €10/$10 per month, or €120/$120 per year). Follows your main plan billing cycle. | Adding takes effect after payment. Reducing takes effect on the next billing cycle. |
Add-on cost appears on the same invoice as your plan at purchase or renewal. If you add an add-on mid-cycle, you receive a separate prorated invoice until the next renewal.
Advanced Analytics unlocks expanded Metricool Studio, Campaign Dashboards, and Detailed Analytics across all brands.
Each X/Twitter add-on covers one X account per brand.
Manage steps:
API access by plan
The Metricool API is available only on Advanced and Custom plans. Metricool MCP is available on any plan, including Free.
Access method | Plan requirement | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
Metricool API | Advanced or Custom | You need to export data or automate tasks with external tools (for example Zapier, Make, Looker Studio, or custom integrations). |
Metricool MCP | Any plan, including Free | You want an AI client to work with your Metricool data in natural language. |
If you are on Free or Starter and need API access, upgrade to Advanced or Custom. Open the API token from Account Settings > API after you are on an eligible plan.
Cancellation and what happens next
You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Metricool website. Access continues until the current billing period ends, then the account reverts to Free.
Cancel from Plan and Billing using the vertical three-dot menu (⋮) next to your current plan, then Cancel plan.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel the plan first if you want charges to stop at the end of the period.
After the paid period ends, Free plan limits apply (1 brand, 20 posts per month, 30 days of analytics, and other Free limits).
App Store or Google Play subscriptions are canceled in the store, not on the Metricool website. See Premium Plan In App.
For the full cancellation flow and brand-retention steps, see How to manage my plan in Metricool. For withdrawal and refund eligibility, see Metricool Refund Policy.
